The Dream Machine: A Posthumous Film

Like the rest of Satoshi Kon’s fans, I was shocked when I found out that this talented film director died in August 2010. He was just working on his anime film The Dream Machine and left notes and directions so that his team could complete this work without his guidance. As it was intended by the author, this movie is a folklore story for children, which however can be appreciated by adults.
As a great of the feature films directed by Satoshi Kon, I considered it to be my moral duty to watch his posthumous film The Dream Machine. I even put aside custom essay paper and service essays on Literature to watch this film. Though the director obviously targeted at younger audiences, I really enjoyed this adventurous story . All the main characters of this film were robots, and I did not see human characters in it at all. Actually, watching this film, I forgot about everything on earth because the road movie for robots captured my attention . It was only after the end of the film that I saw the credits on the screen of my notebook and recalled the fact that it was the last anime film directed by Satoshi Kon. I think that his films can be regarded as a separate era in the history if anime films because his contribution to this genre was really significant. I hope that Kon’s followers will continue this tradition.
